that is ridiculous, you can die as easily from 20ft as you can from 2000, but who in the hell would do that without a guideline/safety line? that is some crazy stuff.

I honestly wouldn't do that job if you said that I only had to climb up there once and then you'd give me all of the money I would need for the rest of my life. I am terrified of heights. That is some crazy stuff.
I saw that last week. I got nervous just watching it. Was watching for a second time and I had to turn it off couldn't handle it.

ive done some rock climbing up to about 150 feet, i always had safety gear though. this guy free climbed way more than what i would be comfortable doing at that height.

NO F'N WAY!!!! I'm with red being terrified of heights. That's just insane. Surely there'd be some kind of aircraft that could be used to assist withat more safely.

If not for my neck injury I would do it. I have free climbed some towers around here before my neck surgery was done and you have to be well conditioned for such a job. If not you could be climbing and all the sudden your arms, legs, and grip gives out. Then you are screwed! I have never climbed a tower that size but have climbed some tall ones inside the Eastman and around our area. Even though these guys are free climbing they still have their safety gear on and use it to rest when needed. My motto is I will try most anything once.
